May 15, 2006: Contact Governor Bredesen ASAP to stop execution pending DNA testing - Board of Probation Recommends Stay

Dear Friends,

Please call or email Governor Bredesen right now and ask him to adopt the
Tennessee Board of Probation and Parole recommendation to delay the
execution of Sedley Alley, scheduled for Wednesday at 1:00 a.m. Alley's
attorneys are asking that the physical evidence be released and that DNA
testing be conducted in order to prove Alley's innocence. Other governors,
including Jeb Bush of Florida and President Bush when he was Texas'
governor, have ordered reprieves pending results of DNA testing.

Call Governor Phil Bredesen at 615-741-2001 and/or email him at
phil.bredesen@state.tn.us right now and urge him to stay the execution to
ensure that an innocent man is not put to death.

Thank you.
