Thursday (9-9) Town Hall Meeting on "Relationship Recognition - At Work, At Home, and In the Community" in NashvilleOn Thursday, September 9, veteran journalist John Seigenthaler will moderate a panel discussion on "Relationship Recognition: At Work, At Home, and In the Community" - focusing on issues important to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community. The panel discussion will take place from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Nashville's historic Belcourt Theater at 2102 Belcourt Avenue. The event is hosted by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Tennessee, and co-sponsored by the Tennessee Equality Project and the Vanderbilt University Office for GLBT Life. Mr. Seigenthaler is founder of the First Amendment Center and Chairman Emeritus of The Tennessean. The panelists are Ken Choe, staff attorney for the ACLU GLBT Project; Reverend V.H. (Sonnye) Dixon, Jr., Pastor of Hobson United Methodist Church; Seth Kilbourn, National Field Director for HRC; and Hedy Weinberg, Executive Director of the ACLU of Tennessee. The event is free and open to the public.
