Members are the strength of our organization. Growth in membership increases our financial strength and our lobbying ability. It also reflects a heightened awareness of the importance of civil liberties.

Membership dues for ACLU-TN are just $20 a year for an individual and $30 annually for a joint membership. Joint membership represents two members in a household. 

Because your membership dues support our legislative work in the Tennessee General Assembly and in Congress, these dues are not tax-deductible. However, you have the satisfaction of knowing you have joined over 400,000 ACLU voices across the country represented by our lobbyists in Congress to protect civil liberties. And here in Tennessee, you have joined over 4,000 ACLU members to support the work of our lobbyists in the Tennessee General Assembly.

As a member of ACLU-TN, you will automatically become a member of the National ACLU as well.

As a member, you'll receive:

• The National ACLU newsletter, Civil Liberties

Members are also invited to:

• Attend our educational programs
• Nominate and vote for board members
• Receive special mailings on legislative issues
