Legislative Advocacy

January 12, 2026 marks the start of the 2026 legislative session and the start of the 114th General Assembly's second year.

Here at the ACLU of Tennessee – knowing what urgent fights lie ahead of 2026 legislative session – we are dedicated to working alongside legislators, partner organizations, and our supporters to protect our rights, connect lawmakers with Tennesseans directly affected by the bills they write, and defeat harmful legislation that threatens freedom for us all.

Together, with your help, we will cultivate a thriving democracy in Tennessee and ensure dignity and equity for everyone under the law.
