On April 29, 2019, ACLU-TN joined with local and national partners for "We as Women," an intimate evening celebrating the power and accomplishments of women.

Guests enjoyed musical performances by songwriters Ari Afsar, Meghan Linsey, Lydia Luce and Becca Mancari, heard a powerful reading by poet and essayist Destiny Birdsong, and discussed the intersectionality of gender, identity and activism with author Caroline Randall Williams, American Muslim Advisory Council program manager Sabina Mohyuddin, and immigrants' rights advocate Jazmin Ramirez.

The event, the second in a national series, was presented in partnership with the national ACLU, co-sponsored by Lyft, and hosted by Go West Creative.
